Arnold J. Hooton Collection
Arnold (Arny) Hooton’s formal involvement with computing began at Purdue University in the early 1960s. Upon graduation from Purdue, he joined the Bendix Corporation in the Computing Department where he worked on a NASA project to design the landing gear for the lunar lander. Later on he became Director of Information Technology at Westinghouse where he led innovative hardware and software solutions with many industry partners (including Apple). In addition, he became an independent Apple Developer while creating and marketing the Bowling Data System.
